Beirut’s White Walls Offers Design from Europe at Reasonable Prices

     A new addition to Beirut, White Walls by Sandra Batri, Mayssam Wehbe and William Wehbe, is a design store and gallery space packed with a handpicked selection of European brands. Offering a curated selection of 12 brands, this contemporary space allows clients to explore design and to understand how their pieces will fit into their own homes.
   
Maison&Objet Paris’ Designer of the Year

     With every new edition, Maison&Objet Paris elects a Designer of the Year to honor one of the most outstanding names in industrial and interior design worldwide. This coming January, Maison&Objet Paris will celebrate the talent of Danish designer Cecilie Manz. As a child, Cecilie Manz would always slip away to the studio her ceramicist parents kept in their house to sink her hands into the clay.
   
Rimadesio and Modern Zone Raise the Bar

     Modern Zone is a veritable hub of interior design. Host to a number of brands including Rimadesio, Olivari, Tabu, Vetedy, Linvisibile the company’s dedicated showroom highlights only the best in a clean, contemporary fashion. Rimadesio’s appeal lies in timeless pieces that call to us down the ages, an item designed in the 60’s can easily fit and blend in with something from the millennium.
   
Pablo Reinoso’s Seats in the Sky

     Drawing on the theme of "landscape" chosen for the recent Agora Biennale and the grand cultural season in Bordeaux, Argentinian artist Pablo Reinoso, imagined the installation L’Observatoire du Ciel (The Sky Observatory) and invited the public to take part.

At the SCAD Museum

     Couture Beyond is the first U.S. solo museum exhibition of designs by eminent Chinese couturiere Guo Pei. Presented by Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and curated by the director of fashion exhibitions Rafael Gomes, Guo Pei fantastical, unrestrained creations imbues contemporary high fashion with ancient tradition, invoking history and mythology through intricate craftsmanship and avant garde silhouettes rife with symbolism.
   
Ronald Sasson’s Historical Style

     Brazilian designer Ronald Sasson presented three new pieces during IDA, Rio Design Fair. The designs are the result of the Sasson asking himself, "What is my importance in my era ?"
   
French Style Inspires a Most Contemporary Hotel

     The Baccarat Hotel and Residence New York combines the style and heritage of the famed French crystal brand with a little modern flair. Brilliantly imagined by industry titan Barry Sternlicht, Baccarat Hotel and Residences New York sits in a Midtown Manhattan glass tower of 114 guest rooms from Paris based luxury design team Gilles & Boissier, 60 elegant residences from New York interiors master Tony Ingrao, a soothing La Mer spa and a series of salon style public spaces.
