An Architect’s Home Marries Theory and Practice

Architectural firm Gray Puksand recently completed a $1.8 million residential project in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton. The house was designed by Robert Puksand, Founding Partner at Gray Puksand, as his family home. Named Field House, the project is the result of Puksand’s personal exploration of architecture as a protagonist for creating happy spaces, and takes its name from the idea of making space with amorphous architecture that attempts to overcome traditional interpretations of ’outside’ and ’inside’, and even ’house’.

Textures to the Fore in this Stunning NYC Loft

Designed by DJDS, a Brookyln based design studio led by Dorothee Junkin, NYC Loft is an East Coast pied a terre created for West Coast clients with an extremely busy bicoastal lifestyle. Upon being gut renovated, the 3,800 square foot loft will be the client’s secondary residence.

A Luxury Swiss Chalet Takes the Breath Away

This chalet in Klosters by Nicky Dobree, called HausAlpina, is full of the scent of white lavender and pine from myriad candles, white faux fur cushions, white roses and peonies, white towels, and white silk throws. An ode to snow, the interior is certainly fresh and contemporary. The six bedroom residence is entirely laid out in the most tasteful whites and greys, with details in wood, stone and chrome and forms the perfect ski home for a couple and their four children.
